Eero Teräväinen, who had a great season: next season’s team confirmed
Finnish defender Eero Teräväinen will continue his games next season in Allsvenskan with BIK Karlskoga. Teräväinen has signed a one-year extension with the club.
Teräväinen, 27, just had a strong season in Karlskoga. He recorded 38 points in 52 regular season games with 15 goals and 23 assists, making him the most effective defender in Allsvenskan. In the playoffs, he was also the top-scoring defender, with 15 points from 3 goals and 12 assists in 14 games.
– Everyone surely knows now what Teräväinen is capable of. He is a top-class player and a threat on the blue line. We are very pleased that we managed to keep him here, Karlskoga’s sports director Torsten Yngveson commented in the club’s statement.
Expressen previously reported that top teams in Allsvenskan were also interested in Teräväinen. Additionally, several Liiga clubs showed interest in him, but a return to his home country will not happen at this stage.
Teräväinen has played two seasons in Allsvenskan. In his first season, he scored 13 points in 52 games while playing for Mora IK.
Before his years in Sweden, Teräväinen represented KooKoo, Pelicans, and HIFK in Liiga.
