Atro Leppänen is fierce! Scored big points in North America
Atro Leppänen was on fire last night in the AHL round. He recorded 0+3 and led the Bakersfield Condors to a 5-2 victory over the Calgary Wranglers.
Leppänen’s strong and active offensive play was particularly evident in the Condors’ 3-2 winning goal. First, his fiery one-timer went wide of the net, and just moments later, Leppänen was back with the puck and made a perfect pass that ultimately resulted in the goal.
Other Finnish players on the Condors were also in strong form. Roby Järventie scored one goal, while Viljami Marjala collected one assist.
In 15 AHL games this season, Leppänen has now scored 1+9=10 points. He still has room for improvement in his defensive play in smaller rinks, as the Finnish defenseman’s plus-minus rating is ten points below zero.
