NHL insider David Pagnotta mentioned on the Daily Faceoff panel that the Canadiens have returned to discussions with the Flames regarding a potential trade involving Calgary center Nazem Kadri. According to Pagnotta, there have been new discussions between the parties recently, and negotiations are still ongoing.
Behind the scenes, there has also been talk that a potential trade could include Laine.
