The Lions face Latvia in the World Championship on Thursday. The latest NHL reinforcement Konsta Helenius is still missing from the Finnish lineup.

Before the match between Finland and Latvia, Viaplay’s experts Mikko Lehtonen and Jussi Jokinen shared their views on where Helenius should be placed in the Lions’ lineup.

– He is also a right-side sniper playmaker. We currently have (Lenni) Hämeenaho and (Jesse) Puljujärvi on the right wing of the first and second lines. Would he then go to the first line’s right wing? I would maybe put (Eemil) Erholtz in his place on the third line. Then we would have the right wings primarily as right-side snipers, while in the center and on the left wing, we would have more playmaker types, “Bambi” Lehtonen said.

Jokinen would place Helenius on the first line.

– I believe they originally thought that Helenius would come to that first line with (Mikael) Granlund and (Aleksander) Barkov, and I believe that Hämeenaho would then drop to the third line. So then it would be (Patrik) Puistola-(Aatu) Räty-Hämeenaho as the third line, Jokinen noted.
