– Tampereen Tappara and speculation about Joona Luoto. 28 years old, firmly in his prime, a quality forward at the European level, and he currently has no club.

– I asked two insiders of the sport about it, and both stated that there is no smoke without fire between Tappara and Luoto, says podcast host Esko Seppänen.

Luoto has represented HV71, which plays in the SHL, for the last two seasons. The last time Luoto, who previously represented Tappara during his junior years, was seen in a Tappara jersey was in the season that ended with gold celebrations in 2021-22, when the winger scored 17 points (8+9) in 14 playoff games.

In the NHL, Luoto has played 23 games in his career with the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets.
