Three men sidelined from Tappara – attack lines revamped
Tappara heads into Saturday’s Liiga match against Pelicans with a revamped lineup. Three players who played in the previous match are missing from the Tampere team, and head coach Fredrik Norrena has made significant changes to his offensive lines.
Forwards Aapeli Räsänen and Vilho Vanhatalo had to leave Tappara’s previous match early and will not be in the lineup on Saturday. Räsänen has been playing in the role of Tappara’s top center. Defenseman Olle Strandell is also sidelined from the lineup.
Additionally, Joachim Blichfeld was already out for Tappara.
Tappara has brought in forwards William Wiå and Emil Järventien as well as defenseman Markus Niemeläisen to replace the absentees.
Wiå will take the left wing position in the third line, while Niemeläinen will play in the third defensive pair alongside Joni Tuulolan. Järventie is marked as the 13th forward.
Norrena has rearranged all four of his offensive lines. With Räsänen’s absence, Julius Mattila moves to center the first line. On his wings are Benjamin Rautiainen and Michael Lindqvist. Mattila and Lindqvist played in the second line in the previous match.
Kasper Simontaival moves from the first line to the second, where he will be joined by Henrik Haapalan and Oliver Suvannon. Haapala and Suvanto last played in the third line.
In the third line, Wiå will play with Dylan Fabren and Tomi Sallisen. The fourth line consists of Ondrej Pavel, Otto Rauhala, and Juuso Nykänen.
The starting goaltender will also change. Christian Heljanko will play on Saturday, while Juha Metsola, who was in goal in the previous match, will serve as the backup.
