Rauman Lukko has made a surprising capture, as Canadian forward Felix Robert is moving to Urheilucast information from the SHL to the Liiga for next season. Earlier, the player’s transfer was considered almost certain to Tappara, but the situation changed at the last moment.

– Expressen reported a while ago that Canadian forward Felix Robert was moving from the SHL to Tappara. And he was indeed about to transfer, BUT in between, according to producer Koben, Rauman Lukko swooped in, Urheilucast reports in their Instagram stories.

– GM Kalle Sahlstedt snagged Robert right from under Tappara’s nose, and now it’s a done deal. A real surprise at the start of this May.

Robert, 26, played two seasons in the SHL with Växjö Lakers. This season, he recorded 52 games in the regular season with stats of 16+8=24 and was his team’s second-best scorer. Behind him were familiar point scorers from the Liiga, Reid Gardiner and Eemeli Suomi. Gardiner scored 27 goals last season in the Liiga while playing for Kärpät, making him the fourth-best scorer in the entire league.

In the playoffs, he tallied 1+3 points in 10 games. Växjö’s season ended in a semifinal loss to Rögle.

Before his years in Sweden, Robert played three seasons in the AHL, where he consistently achieved an average of 34 points per season.

From his junior years in the QMJHL, there is also a season where Robert scored impressive stats of 36+56=92 in 46 games.
