Buffalo Sabres won last night’s NHL game against the Vegas Golden Knights with a score of 2-0.

In goal for the Sabres was Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who recorded his first shutout of the season. This was Luukkonen’s eighth career shutout in the NHL. He made 28 saves in the game.

This season, Luukkonen has played 27 games with a save percentage of 90.9.

Other Finnish goalies who played in the NHL last night also secured victories. Juuse Saros recorded an impressive 36 saves as the Nashville Predators defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 after a shootout. Kevin Lankinen, on the other hand, made 21 saves as the Vancouver Canucks won against the Florida Panthers 5-2.

Saros has played 51 games this season with a save percentage of 89.4. Lankinen’s save percentage stands at 87.8 after 37 games.
