TSN: NHL superstar could miss the entire season – wild scenario on the table
Winnipeg Jets’ star goalie Connor Hellebuyck may be ready to sit out the entire upcoming NHL season if the team does not agree to trade him.
This is the assessment of former NHL goalie Marty Biron on TSN’s OverDrive broadcast.
According to Biron, Hellebuyck could even be prepared for the possibility of a suspension and missing an entire season.
– It’s one option for GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. However, I believe Hellebuyck could respond to that: bring it on. I’m ready to sit out a year, Biron said.
Biron considers it possible that Hellebuyck could financially manage a whole season without playing.
– He has earned well and saved money. He can definitely manage for a year and can use that time with his family, Biron continued.
According to Biron’s assessment, Hellebuyck is also prepared for the situation that it could ultimately lead to missing the entire season.
