Finnish forward Eetu Luostarinen is close to a contract extension with the Florida Panthers, reports TSN journalist Pierre LeBrun on messaging service X. According to LeBrun, the contract could possibly be announced as early as Wednesday.

Luostarinen’s current contract covers the upcoming NHL season, and his annual salary is three million dollars. With the new contract, his salary level is expected to rise significantly, but final details have not yet been confirmed.

During the recently concluded regular season, Luostarinen played 73 games for the Florida Panthers. He recorded a total of 11 goals and 22 assists for 33 points.

Over seven NHL seasons, the Finnish winger has played 447 regular season games. In these, he has scored 61 goals and provided 101 assists, totaling 162 points. In the playoffs, Luostarinen has appeared in 73 games.
