The Toronto Maple Leafs have already had to manage without goaltender Anthony Stolarz, whose return timeline is unclear. Stolarz has not skated since early November.

Now another key goalie Joseph Woll is suffering from a lower-body injury. Head coach Craig Berube recently commented that the severity of the injury is unknown.

According to Canadian Sportsnet, Woll has now been placed on the IR list, meaning injured reserve. This means the goaltender will be out for a longer period.

With Woll and Stolarz sidelined, the storied Canadian franchise is turning to 24-year-old Swedish goalie Dennis Hildeby.

Hildeby has posted an impressive save percentage of 91.9 in seven games this season.

The Leafs have called up Russian Artur Akhtiamov from the farm to fill the absences.

The Maple Leafs are currently in 14th place in the competitive Eastern Conference. The team has won four of its last five games.

Next up is a classic matchup against the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow night.
