Top reinforcement for the Lions – the star of the last World Championships joins the team
The Lions received excellent news from North America on Friday, as the Ice Hockey Association announced that Teuvo Teräväinen will join the team traveling to the World Championships in Switzerland.
Teräväinen, who represents the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL, will join the Lions as the World Championship tournament begins.
The Lions’ GM Jere Lehtinen emphasizes the importance of Teräväinen’s special skills to the team.
– Teräväinen’s playmaking ability and offensive skills are assets that will certainly be beneficial as the World Championship games start, Lehtinen highlights in the association’s announcement.
For the 31-year-old forward, this tournament will be his third at the World Championship level. In last spring’s World Championships, Teräväinen was Finland’s most effective player with seven games totaling 1+10.
In the current NHL season, the skilled forward played 75 games and recorded stats of 14+21=35.
