Times are confusing for the Nashville Predators as the team’s GM Barry Trotz announced earlier this week that he would be stepping down.

The decision came in the middle of the season and surprised many, but for Finnish goalie Juuse Saros, the news wasn’t entirely out of the blue.

Although Trotz will continue in his role until the team finds a new GM, according to Saros, the division of roles is not entirely clear.

At this crucial stage of the season, the team is trying to stay in the playoff race while also ensuring the direction for the future.

– We are fighting for our lives so that the fire sales don’t start again, he says.
