The Swiss Society secured a familiar goal scorer from Leijonat.
HC Ajoie, playing in the Swiss top league, has made an important contract extension.
The club announced over the weekend that it has signed a contract extension with Finnish forward Julius Nättinen, 28. The contract of the JYP-trained player, who is representing the club for his second season, is for one year.
Nättinen moved to Switzerland last season from HIFK and immediately ranked second in the league’s scoring list with 52 points (22+30) in 52 games. This season has been less productive for Nättinen, as the 188 cm tall forward has played 22 games with 8+6=14 points.
The team represented by Nättinen, Ajoie, is the bottom team in the Swiss league, and its season is likely to continue in the relegation playoffs after the regular season. They are already 12 points away from safety. In addition to Nättinen, the team features Finnish players Anttoni Honka, Jerry Turkulainen, and Niklas Friman.
