The Lions are playing in the World Championship final – check the schedule!
Finland advanced to the men’s ice hockey World Championship final by defeating Canada in the semifinals with a score of 4–2.
The Lions will fight for the championship against Switzerland, which reached the final with a convincing 6–0 victory over Norway.
Switzerland has played the tournament so far without losses. Finland’s only defeat came against the host country Switzerland in the group stage with a score of 2-4.
Finland has won the world championship four times: 1995, 2011, 2019, and 2022.
Switzerland has never won the world championship. Switzerland has been silver medalists five times and bronze medalists eight times. Switzerland is now in the World Championship final for the third consecutive time.
The World Championship final between Finland and Switzerland will be played on Sunday at 21:20 Finnish time. The match can be followed through both Viaplay and MTV.
