The Finnish NHL star was given permission to seek a new team – are these three clubs on his tail?
Young Finnish forward Brad Lambert has emerged as one of the most interesting trade targets in the NHL.
This is claimed by The Hockey News reporter Michael DeRosa, who believes that the 21-year-old first-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets is attracting interest from several NHL teams after the Jets granted him permission to discuss a potential trade with other organizations.
The reporter names three teams that would have the most use for the talented Finn. These teams are the Nashville Predators, Boston Bruins, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
– Looking at the Predators’ roster, Lambert could immediately break into a top 9 role, especially if the team ends up trading Ryan O’Reilly and Steven Stamkos elsewhere during the season, DeRosa sees.
– The Penguins are still in the midst of a minor rebuild, so it would make sense for them to try to acquire a young player with good development potential, like Lambert.
– The Bruins need more young and skilled forwards. In the short term, Lambert could compete for spots on the bottom two lines. He has the potential to grow into a top 6 role in Boston, the reporter reasons.
Lambert has played four NHL games this season and scored one goal in them. In the AHL, the talent has worked through 10 games with stats of 1+3=4.
