MM-gold lion Jere Sallinen‘s games with EHC Biel-Bienne are coming to an end.

The Swiss top league club announced the departure of the 35-year-old forward on Wednesday evening. Biel-Bienne’s season ended in the first round of the playoffs.

Sallinen accumulated 22 (8+14) points in the 45 games he played in the regular season. The concluded season was Sallinen’s fifth with the same club.

He made a significant contribution to the team’s success and always represented our club with pride and passion, Biel-Bienne praised in their statement.

Sallinen is set to return to the Liiga next season with Kiekko-Espoo. The news of Sallinen’s return was first reported by Iltalehti.

Long considered one of the Lions’ trusted forwards, Sallinen has won two World Championship golds and two World Championship silvers with the national team.
