The losing streak of the Jokers continues! Even Lukko is already sweating with frustration.
The league’s Wednesday matchday saw great drama.
Jokerit suffered their third loss of the season against Ässät. The game remained tied at 2-2 for a long time until Cameron Hillis scored Ässät’s winning goal 3-2 on a power play with just one minute and 45 seconds left in the third period.
Jokerit improved their play slightly from the first two matches, but on the other hand, Ässät had a long list of players sidelined due to injuries. Olle Eriksson Ek also played a solid game in goal for the Jokers.
Rauman Lukko’s split start to the season continued. The team suffered an embarrassing 0-5 defeat at home against JYP. Lukko has now played three matches and has been completely scoreless in two of them.
In Lahti, Pelicans secured a 2-0 victory over KalPa and extended their winning streak to three matches. The Pussinukat were clearly the stronger team on the ice, and Jussi Olkinuora required only 13 saves for his shutout.
