The Nashville Predators received some harsh news in the NHL.
The team’s Finnish goalie Juuse Saros had to sit out last night’s game against the Seattle Kraken. Saros was injured during the morning skate and is suffering from an upper body injury. The Predators report that Saros’ situation will be evaluated day by day.
For the Predators, who are fighting for a playoff spot, Saros’ longer absence would be a huge setback. Saros has played 51 games this season with a save percentage of 89.4.
With Saros sidelined, Justus Annunen was in goal for the Predators, and Matt Murray was called up from the farm team as the backup goalie. The Predators won against the Kraken 3-1, and Annunen recorded 25 saves.
