Terrible news for the Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers’ preparation for the 2026-27 season has gotten off to a sluggish start.
The Oilers have announced that forwards Mattias Janmark and Matt Savoie, defenseman Alec Regula, and goaltender Frederik Andersen will not be able to participate in the team’s training camp. These four players are unlikely to be in playing condition even when the regular season begins.
The biggest setback is Andersen’s injury. The Danish goaltender helped lead the Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup championship last season.
In the summer, the Oilers signed Andersen to a one-year contract worth 1 million dollars.
Also involved in Edmonton’s goaltending department are Tristan Jarry and Devon Levi.
