MILANO.

Finland faces Switzerland in the Olympic quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Switzerland had to work through one extra elimination game, while the Lions get several days off before the quarter-final.

– I wouldn’t say it’s a big advantage. They probably have fresher legs, but there’s nothing we can do about it. We just have to recover, and there are no excuses, said Switzerland’s Jonas Siegenthaler after the Italy game.

We asked Siegenthaler and Switzerland’s captain Roman Josi who is the most dangerous player on the Finnish team.

– There are many dangerous ones, but [Miro] Heiskanen. He drives the whole team forward whenever he has the puck. He always finds something and creates situations, Siegenthaler said.

– He brings the puck up with his feet or passes. He’s the one I would mark.

What about Josi?

– Probably [Mikko] Rantanen. He’s an excellent player, big and strong. He plays the game brilliantly, protects the puck well, and has a really good shot, Josi said.

– Whenever you play against him, it’s really tough. Finland has a lot of good players, but he is definitely one of the most dangerous.

Both believe Finland is the favorite in the quarter-final match. Josi still has an ace up his sleeve, as he plays for the Nashville Predators alongside the Lions’ top goalie Juuse Saros.

– Naturally, I know him well. I will definitely share my tips, Josi said.
