Finnish promise Max Westergård returns to the HC Frölunda organization as his loan stint with Björklöven in HockeyAllsvenskan has come to an end.

Björklöven announced that the club and Westergård have mutually agreed on his return to Frölunda. The decision was made after discussions regarding his playing time and role in the team.

Westergård managed to play five games with Björklöven but did not record any points.

This season, Westergård has played 17 SHL games with Frölunda without scoring any points.

Westergård was seen at the turn of the year in the under-20 World Championship. He scored one goal and assisted on three goals in seven games during the tournament.

Westergård is a 5th round draft pick of NHL team Philadelphia Flyers.
