Surprise pull from Sweden! Here is the goalkeeper against Finland
The Lions face Sweden in their second match of the Olympics. The game starts on Friday at 1:10 PM.
Before the match, Sweden’s goaltending situation was an interesting question mark. Filip Gustavsson already played a rather weak game against Italy. Other options for the net include Jesper Wallstedt, who has shone in the NHL this season, and Jacob Markström, who has performed poorly with the New Jersey Devils.
However, the goaltending choice leaked to the public in advance. Markström slipped in an interview with TV4 on Thursday that Gustavsson will continue in goal.
– “Gus” played yesterday and “Gus” will play tomorrow. After that, we’ll see the situation for the next game, Markström slipped on Thursday.
Gustavsson has played 36 games this season for the Minnesota Wild with a save percentage of 90.7. Wallstedt’s save percentage, on the other hand, has been 91.4 in 23 games.
