Finnish forward of the Toronto Maple Leafs Matias Maccelli was surprised to hear just before the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday that he would have to watch the game from the stands.

Before this evening, Maccelli had played in all of the Maple Leafs’ games this season. The 25-year-old forward has scored 5 points (2+3) in 12 games so far this season.

The Maple Leafs made a stunning comeback to win the game. The Penguins led the game 3-0 after two periods, but the Maple Leafs struck for four goals in the third period within ten minutes and won the contest 4-3.

The hero for the Maple Leafs was Swedish star William Nylander, who recorded 2+1 points.

In the Penguins’ jersey, Ville Koivunen played over 15 minutes in the game. The Finnish forward assisted on Ben Kindel’s 2-0 goal.
