The Winnipeg Jets’ management is planning to part ways with two Finnish players.

TSN’s reporter Darren Dreger revealed on the Nielson Show podcast that Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is willing to trade defenseman Ville Heinola and forward Brad Lambert if the right offers come in.

– Winnipeg has a few young players… Brad Lambert would be one and Ville Heinola another; Cheveldayoff is open to trades, he is ready to listen. If a player makes sense, then sure, Dreger mentions in the podcast.

Heinola’s and Lambert’s careers have stagnated significantly in recent years. Heinola was sent to the AHL through the waiver list last fall, while Lambert has played only four NHL games for the Jets this season.

Lambert is the Jets’ first-round 30th overall pick from the summer of 2022. Heinola was selected by the Jets in the first round (20th) in 2019.
