The United States’ World Championship tournament has started with one win out of three games.

Now the USA gets a strong reinforcement as Matthew Tkachuk finally joins the team against Germany on Wednesday night.

The Florida Panthers star has not been involved in the Americans’ first matches because he arrived at the tournament only after the third game due to the birth of his child.

Tkachuk is chasing the so-called three gold club in the tournament. He is missing a World Championship gold from his trophy cabinet, as he was not part of last year’s championship team.

Instead, Tkachuk has lifted the Stanley Cup in previous years with the Panthers and won Olympic gold in February.

The USA announces that Tkachuk has now joined the World Championship team. The country faces Germany at 21:20 in Zurich.

In addition to Germany, the USA will also face Latvia, Hungary, and Austria. It lost to Switzerland and Finland but won against Great Britain.
