Stanley Cup champion Sebastian Aho called into Aamulypsy with a hoarse voice – there was no holding back the laughter: “I must admit, a bit poorly…”

Carolina Hurricanes’ Finnish star Sebastian Aho, who won the Stanley Cup, called in the midst of the championship euphoria directly to Radio Suomipop’s Aamulypsy program.

Aho’s call brought amusement. His voice was indeed quite hoarse during the call.

– Yeah, hello, hello, Aho said with his hoarse voice, making the hosts Tuukka Ritokoski and Juuso Mäkilähde burst into laughter.

– Is Ritokoski there? Aho asked.

– Yes, Ritokoski is here. Who is calling and from where in the world? Ritokoski asked.

– Well… it’s… um… Sepe here calling, Aho formulated.

– Is the fresh Stanley Cup champion on the phone? Ritokoski inquired.

– Yes, indeed, Aho croaked.

– I would like to say, Sebastian, that it’s a pleasure to hear your voice, but to be honest, it sounds a bit rough right now. You probably haven’t spoken that voice away. Did you leave the window or fönsteri open all night or have you been celebrating wildly? Ritokoski asked.

– Yes, came Aho’s response.

Ritokoski asked what the previous 24 hours had been like. In response, Aho quoted Timo Jutila.

– Slept and moved on.

Aho announced that he would be coming to Finland on Monday. He also admitted to drinking something other than water from the Stanley Cup in the last few hours. Finally, Aho had the opportunity to send greetings to Finland.

– No, nothing more is coming, Aho concluded.
