Sources: KHL team struck at the NHL market – aiming for a former top draft pick and Stanley Cup champion
KHL team Dinamo Minsk is looking to strengthen its offense with two additions from the NHL’s free agency. Pressball reports that the team is interested in Tyson Jost. Sports.ru on the other hand, reports that Minsk is close to an agreement with Nicolas Aube-Kubel.
Jost, 28, played 69 games last season with the Nashville Predators, recording 8+8=16 points. He has played a total of 564 regular-season games in his NHL career (69+96=165) and 46 playoff games (6+4=10).
Previously, Jost has also represented the Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, Buffalo Sabres, and Carolina Hurricanes. Jost was originally the tenth overall pick by Colorado in the first round of the 2016 draft.
Aube-Kubel, 30, played six NHL games last season in Minnesota, recording 0+2 points, and 62 AHL games with the Iowa Wild, scoring 15+22=37 points. In the NHL, he has also represented the Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Rangers.
Aube-Kubel has played a total of 310 regular-season games in the NHL (32+50=82) and 30 playoff games (2+1). He won the Stanley Cup with Colorado in 2022.
