Source: KalPa is seeking foreign reinforcement for the lower division!
Swedish defender August Tornberg, who played for KalPa last season, is on the radar of the Swedish club Bodens HF. Spelcash reports that Bodens, playing in Sweden’s third tier HockeyEttan, has been in contact with Tornberg and hopes to bring the defender into their ranks for next season.
This is a familiar club for Tornberg from previous years. He represented the team after his junior years during the 2010-12 seasons.
Tornberg, 34, transferred from SHL club Färjestad BK to KalPa during last season. He played 44 regular season games in the Liiga, scoring 3+7=10 points, and ten playoff games with 0+1 points.
Before moving to KalPa, Tornberg played 136 SHL games with Färjestad. Prior to that, he played four seasons in Sweden’s second tier Allsvenskan. He last played in the third tier HockeyEttan during the 2017-18 season.
