Sergei Bobrovski leaving? Florida made a surprise move
The Florida Panthers have signed goaltender Louis Domingue for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
The 33-year-old Domingue has played seven games in the AHL this season with the Charlotte Checkers, posting a save percentage of 83.1. Additionally, he has played 11 games in the KHL with Novosibirsk Sibir.
Questions have arisen about Sergei Bobrovsky’s future
TSN reporter Pierre LeBrun reported earlier on Wednesday that the Panthers have already given up on their playoff goals and are listening to offers for superstar goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky.
Domingue’s signing could be a sign that the team is preparing for a possible trade of Bobrovsky.
The 37-year-old Russian goaltender’s contract covers this season and guarantees a $10 million annual salary. Additionally, the contract includes a clause that allows Bobrovsky to block a trade to 16 NHL teams.
