The Carolina Hurricanes won their second Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights in the finals.

The Stanley Cup trophy was presented by Carolina’s captain Jordan Staal, who was the first to lift it. He then handed the trophy to veteran goaltender Frederik Andersen.

Andersen was about to pass the trophy to the next Finnish star Sebastian Aho. However, Aho refused to take the trophy just yet. Aho made a wonderful gesture by allowing Taylor Hall to lift the trophy first.

Hall was among Carolina’s best in the playoffs, scoring 19 points in 19 games with 7 goals and 12 assists. The former first overall pick has played in the NHL for 16 seasons.

After his turn, Hall handed the trophy to Aho, and it was now the Finnish star’s turn to lift the trophy. Aho then passed the trophy to Jaccob Slavin.
