Roope Hintz played a big role as the Dallas Stars managed to break their dark streak in the NHL. The Stars defeated the Washington Capitals with a score of 4–1, ending a six-game losing streak.
Hintz was very active in the game, firing off a total of 12 shots. This is a new franchise record for the Stars in a single game. The previous milestone of 11 shots was held by franchise legends Mike Modano, Derian Hatcher, Jamie Benn, and Tyler Seguin.
However, the all-time franchise record is still higher, as Dino Ciccarelli shot a remarkable 14 times in a game in 1988.
At the end of the game, Hintz scored into an empty net, securing the victory for Dallas. This season, the Finnish forward has played 39 games and recorded 13+20=33 points.
