Dallas Stars’ Roope Hintz was injured in a game against the Colorado Avalanche and had to leave the game due to a lower body injury. He collided with Nathan MacKinnon in the corner and fell awkwardly onto the ice, injuring himself. Hintz was helped off the ice.
New information has now emerged regarding Hintz’s injury. According to Dallas head coach Glen Gulutzan, Hintz will be out for weeks.
– He will be out for a while. He needs to see another doctor before we know more, Gulutzan says.
– We hope that Hintz can return by the start of the playoffs, maybe even before that, but he will definitely be out for a couple of weeks, Gulutzan states.
Hintz has recorded 44 points in 53 games this season with 15 goals and 29 assists. Dallas has 20 games left in the regular season.
