Roope Hintz had a terrible time in the NHL – A big concern for the Lions!
Dallas Stars’ Finnish star Roope Hintz suffered a serious injury in last night’s NHL game against the Minnesota Wild in the final moments of the match.
Hintz, who was standing in front of the goal, took a hard slap shot from Miro Heiskanen to his leg. The puck hit the side of Hintz’s skate, and the Finn fell to the ice in pain. You can see the situation by clicking here.
Hintz had to be assisted to the bench, from where he continued to the locker room. It was concerning that the Stars star was unable to put any weight on his leg.
Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan did not provide any further information about Hintz after the game.
Hintz’s loss for an extended period would be a terrible setback for both the Stars and potentially the Lions. Finland’s center position is already thin due to Aleksander Barkov’s injury ahead of the Milan Olympics starting in February.
