Robin Salo: new team revealed!
Finnish defender Robin Salo continues his career in the Swedish top league SHL, but at a new address. Örebro HK announced on Monday that they have made a two-year contract with Salo.
The 27-year-old defender played the last two seasons with Malmö Redhawks. In the recently concluded season, he was one of the most effective defenders in the league, achieving stats of 7+33=40 in the regular season. His ranking in the defenders’ points list was sixth.
Malmö’s season ended in the quarter-finals of the playoffs. Salo recorded 1+1 in eight games.
Örebro is a familiar team for Salo, as he also played there during the 2020–21 season.
Salo represented Finland for the first time in the World Championships in the spring of 2025 wearing the Lions’ jersey. He played five games and registered two assists. Additionally, Salo was part of the Finnish team in the EHT tournament in Switzerland in December.
