Revelation: several NHL teams interested in Calgary’s star center
The Calgary Flames are facing a difficult situation. The team has no realistic chances of making the playoffs, and the future outlook is not bright either. Calgary has already started selling its core players by parting ways with defenseman Rasmus Andersson.
One interesting name in Calgary is Nazem Kadri, 35. The center’s name has been circulating in trade rumors for some time, but recently the rumor mill has picked up additional speed.
On TSN‘s Insider Trading program, NHL reporter Darren Dreger mentioned that interest in Kadri on the trade market has been increasing. Dreger notes that so far, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings, and Dallas Stars have inquired about Kadri.
This season, Kadri has scored 34 points in 49 games with a line of 9+25. His average annual salary is 7 million dollars, and he has three years left on his contract.
