Rasmus Ristolainen’s team hit the jackpot – NHL star made a huge profit
Finnish defender Rasmus Ristolainen and the Philadelphia Flyers have signed a four-year extension with forward Trevor Zegras.
The total value of the contract is 36.5 million dollars, which means Zegras’s annual earnings will rise to 9.125 million dollars.
Flyers GM Daniel Briere stated that the team is pleased that the forward will continue with the organization.
– We are really happy that Trevor has committed to our organization for the next four years. The development he showed last season and how he proved to be the skilled player he was when he came to the NHL reinforced our belief that he will be a significant player for the Flyers in the years to come, Briere said in a team statement.
Zegras moved to Philadelphia before last season. In his first season with the Flyers, he played all 81 regular-season games and scored a total of 67 points.
In the playoffs, the 25-year-old American forward recorded six points in ten games.
The Anaheim Ducks selected Zegras in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft. In the NHL regular season, he has played 349 games in his career and scored a total of 253 points.
