Rasmus Ristolainen’s surprise fate in the NHL – fans furious: “Brutal”
Finnish defender Rasmus Ristolainen continues his career with the Philadelphia Flyers, as the team did not trade him at the NHL’s Friday trade deadline.
NHL reporters Anthony Di Marco and Pierre LeBrun reported that the Flyers did not receive the return they wanted for Ristolainen. According to LeBrun, the team held firmly to the asking price they set for the defender.
Ristolainen was one of the most followed names on the Flyers during the trade market, but the offers did not meet the team’s demands. His current contract with the team runs until the summer of 2027.
The Athletic reporter Kevin Kurz stated that the Flyers’ trade deadline day is now over, and no new trades are expected.
