The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 and thus took a 3-0 lead in the first round of the NHL playoffs. The Flyers are now just one win away from the second round.

Flyers’ Finnish defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen scored a goal in the game, which was his first in his playoff career. He shot the team’s second goal through Stuart Skinner’s legs into the net.

Ristolainen, who reached the playoffs for the first time in his NHL career, has now recorded three points in three games with a score of 1+2. He plays an average of nearly 25 minutes per game.

The other goals for the Flyers were scored by Trevor Zegras, Nick Seeler, Noah Cates, and Owen Tippett. The Penguins’ goals were scored by Evgeni Malkin and Erik Karlsson. Emotions also ran high during the game, as all players on the ice were sent to the penalty box for violence in the second period.

The Penguins have been pushed to the brink in the series. The fourth game is scheduled for Sunday night Finnish time. The Flyers will have a chance to end the series then.
