Patrik Laine’s wife said an emotional goodbye – “What I will miss the most…”
Patrik Laine’s wife Jordan Leigh-Laine has bid an emotional farewell to Montreal on social media as the couple changes scenery next season.
Leigh praised the city and Canadiens fans and then reminisced about the couple’s best moments in the city.
– I will always remember the hockey moments, like when Patrik scored the most power-play goals in the entire league, or scoring a hat trick after everything he has been through.
– What I will miss the most are the fans. They welcomed us with open arms as soon as we arrived. They made Montreal feel like home for us. We don’t know yet what will happen next, but whatever happens, Montreal will always be a special place for us, the woman promises.
The Finnish forward’s performance this past season was meager. Laine played five games in October before his injury. After the turn of the year, he did not fit into his team’s playing lineup even once.
The Canadiens’ season ended against the Buffalo Sabres in the second round of the playoffs.
