New information about Teuvo Teräväinen’s injury in the World Championships – fracture!
One of the top forwards for the Lions in the World Championship, NHL star Teuvo Teräväinen, left the tournament early due to an injury sustained in the opening game.
The Athletic has now reported additional details about the injury of the Finnish talent representing the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL. According to the site, it was a finger fracture, and the estimated recovery time is 4-6 weeks.
Teräväinen played 75 games for the Blackhawks in the recently concluded regular season, with stats of 14+21=35. In the World Championship, Teräväinen recorded 0+2 in the only game he played against Germany.
The forward, who has won the Stanley Cup once in his career, will earn 5.4 million dollars next season. The contract year is the last of the current deal for the 31-year-old Teräväinen.
