Crisis follow-up at Vaasan Sport is undergoing a massive change! The budget is rising dramatically.
Big changes are happening at Vaasan Sport in the league crisis.
Kvarken Eagle, a group of over ten entrepreneurs and influencers, has become a significant owner of Sport. The new ownership group will take responsibility for the club’s financing and building its future.
– The goal of the change is to make Vaasan Sport a stronger, more competitive league club that is recognized by the entire region as its own. This is not just a change of ownership, but a comprehensive approach that strengthens both sports resources, club management, and the surrounding business, as stated in the club’s announcement.
– As the first concrete measure, Sport’s budget has already been increased by 400,000 euros. This additional investment has provided the management with better conditions to build a competitive team and operational environment for the upcoming season.
Last season was a great humiliation for Sport. The team ended up at the bottom of the league, sold its players, and practically gave up before the year had even changed.
Sport’s journey in the league has also been challenging otherwise. At its best, in 12 years, the eagle shirts have reached 10th place in the regular season.
