Detroit Red Wings’ Patrick Kane has become the most efficient player born in the United States in NHL history.
Kane, 37, surpassed Mike Modano in the statistics. He recorded one assist against the Washington Capitals early Friday morning Finnish time, bringing his NHL career points total to 500+875=1,375.
Kane is currently in his 19th season in the NHL. He long represented the Chicago Blackhawks, where he also won three Stanley Cups. Kane briefly represented the New York Rangers before moving to Detroit, where he is now in his third season.
This season, Kane has scored 32 points in 40 games with 8 goals and 24 assists.
