Olli Jokinen on MTV: This NHL man would be the final touch to the Lions’ World Championship team.
The Lions team still has one forward without a tournament pass stamped. The last unfinished playoff series of the second round of the NHL is still being monitored, from which possible reinforcements for the World Championships are expected.
The Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens will play a seventh game in the early hours of Tuesday Finnish time. The winner will advance to the conference finals, and the loser’s season will end. Finnish forwards can be found on both teams: from Buffalo Konsta Helenius and from Montreal Oliver Kapanen and Patrik Laine.
Experts from MTV answered viewer questions during the intermission of the match between Finland and the United States and shared their views on who would be the best reinforcement for the Lions from the NHL. Olli Jokinen had a clear opinion on the matter.
– I would personally take Kapanen. A good season in the NHL behind him and specifically a player who can play in the center or on the wing, Jokinen said.
Another expert Jesse Joensuu nodded in agreement with Jokinen’s response.
– Whichever one of those falls through, a really potential young guy would be brought into the team. Hopefully, either Helenius or Kapanen agrees to come, Joensuu stated.
