Frederik Andersen continues his NHL career with the Edmonton Oilers. The Danish goaltender, who became a free agent from the Carolina Hurricanes, has signed a one-year contract with the team worth 2.8 million dollars.
Andersen played in the spring playoffs with the Hurricanes and managed to secure 13 wins for the team before his injury. After his injury, Brandon Bussi became the team’s number one goaltender and led the Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup championship.
The Edmonton goaltending situation for the 2026–27 season is now clear. The team will head into the new season with Andersen, Tristan Jarry, and promising Devon Levin.
