The International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF has announced the preliminary groups for the 2027 Men’s World Championships.
The tournament will be held from May 14 to 30, 2027, in Germany, with Düsseldorf and Mannheim as the host cities. A total of 16 national teams will participate.
Finland, the reigning world champion, will play in Group A. The Lions will play their matches in Mannheim. Also in the same group are Switzerland, which was the opponent in last spring’s World Championship final, and the beloved neighboring country Sweden.
