Now it is clear: The date of the Lions’ World Championship quarter-final has been confirmed
ZÜRICH. The starting time for the Finnish national ice hockey team’s World Championship quarter-final on Thursday has now been confirmed. The Lions will play their quarter-final in Zurich at 17:20.
The host Switzerland’s national ice hockey team will be seen only in the evening prime time match at 21:20.
At the same time as the games in Zurich, two other World Championship quarter-finals will also be played in the other host city, Fribourg.
The opponent of the Lions will be determined only after the Tuesday match against Switzerland. There are still plenty of options, as Finland could face either the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Norway, or Sweden in the quarter-finals.
The semi-finals of the World Championship will be played unusually early on Saturday in Zurich at 16:20 and 21:00. The climax of the tournament, the final, is scheduled for Sunday at 21:20.
