Now it has happened – Rasmus Ristolainen’s 13-year wait is over!
The Philadelphia Flyers secured their spot in the NHL playoffs. At the same time, Rasmus Ristolainen finally gets to experience the playoffs for the first time in his NHL career.
The Flyers defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in last night’s NHL game after a shootout, with a score of 3-2. With this victory, the team will appear in the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
Ristolainen is in his 13th season in the NHL. He has played a total of 820 games in the league. Among active NHL players, Ristolainen has the most regular season games without playoff experience, but he will give up that top spot this spring.
Ristolainen played the first eight seasons of his NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres. He is now in his fifth season with the Flyers.
The Flyers will face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the playoffs.
