Chicago Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno has been traded to the Minnesota Wild, reporter from Daily Faceoff Frank Seravalli reports on X.
The 38-year-old forward has recorded 3+8=11 points in 37 games this season. Foligno, who has played over 1300 games in his NHL career, represented the Blackhawks for three seasons.
According to TSN reporter Pierre LeBrun, the Blackhawks will receive a future consideration in the trade. The Wild took on Foligno’s full salary of 4.5 million dollars in the deal.
In Minnesota Wild, Foligno will join his brother Marcus Foligno on the same team.
