Head coach Antti Pennanen shared bad news before the match between Finland and Italy in an interview with HBO Max.
Pennanen revealed that Anton Lundell is not in the Lions’ lineup due to illness. Even more concerning is that Oliver Kapanen is also out, as he is Lundell’s roommate.
At this point, it is not known exactly what kind of illness it is. During the first week of the Olympics, at worst, more than half of the Women’s Lions team was in quarantine due to a norovirus.
The match between Finland and Italy starts at 17:40 Finnish time. If Finland wins in regular time, they will place second in the group.
